Kristoffer "Kris" Kristofferson (22. juna 1936.) je američki country muzičar, pisac, pevač, kompozitor i glumac.
Rođen je u Brownsvilleu, Teksas, kao sin Mary Ann, domaćice, i Larsa Kristoffersona, generala američke vojske. Kao i svako vojno dete, s porodicom se često selio, završivši u gradu San Mateo, Kalifornija. Tamo je maturirao u lokalnoj srednjoj školi, i nastavio školovanje na nizu institucija. Bio je uspešan sportista pa je sa kolegama završio na naslovnoj strani Sports Illustrated. Nakon što je završio englesku književnost, krenuo je u Nashville i pokušao se probiti kao muzičar. Oženio se i dobio dvoje dece. Karijera mu isprva nije bila toliko uspešna, pa se zaputio u vojsku i postao podoficir. Nakon časnog otpusta, radio je niz poslova da plati sinovljevo lečenje. Od prve žene razveo se 1969. godine.
Pišući pesme za druge izvođače, čisteći podove i radeći kao pilot helikoptera na naftnoj platformi, počeo je uspešnu filmsku i muzičku karijeru. Među njegovim prvim prijateljima su bili Janis Joplin (s kojom je bio do njene smrti), Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Ray Price i Willie Nelson. Pevajući njegove pesme, Johnny i Willie imali su velikih uspeha, kao i Janis. Tokom 1970-ih oženio se drugi put, bio na vrhuncu muzičke i filmske slave. Za svoje filmsko umeće dobio je i Zlatni globus. Od svoje druge žene, Rite Coolidge, razveo se 1980. godine. Imaju jedno dete.
Sa sadašnjom suprugom ima petoro dece.Ostvario je 80-tak filmskih uloga, a bio je i jedan od izvođača na koncertu u čast Johnnya Casha. Pevao je u duetu sa Norah Jones. Do sada je izdao sedamnaest albuma. Po političkom opredeljenju je liberal i levičar koji je podupro predsednika Baracka Obamu.
